Tonight
Giving a presentation for my friends about all the exciting stuff I’ve learned over the semester or so about the bacteria that inhabit our gut.   This is what I do with my time off.  Ugh.   (note: I’m not the only one doing this- xysmas.tumblr.com and others will be presenting on more interesting things like female ejaculation and such)

Arguments and skepticism
When arguing with someone, it’s apparently best just to ignore every point the opposition makes and keep charging with your opinion than to re-evaluate your thoughts or consider any new information- you can stick to your guns forever and live in a fantasy world that you created!  (regardless of how extremely toxic or absurdly pollyanna-like it may be) I really do not enjoy arguing with...

I should be working on my presentation...
So, Bruce Lipton’s name has been brought up twice around me in the last week.  Someone posted a youtube video of a ten minute interview with him this morning.  More or less, he’s got this idea that our attitudes can make huge changes to our bodies down to the level of gene expression.   Of course, I should probably look more into what he has to say, but so far it seems pretty clear...
